One year ago… June 2012

One year ago today we were out on a worthy mission. We helped an Army vet spread the word about PTSD. We met up with Tom in Cleveland, Ohio and then biked to our home in NJ. Ron and I alternated days of biking, while one person drove the truck along with Juan Carlos, and Tom’s service dog, a border collie.

WIth Juan Carlos on the bike path in Franklin, PA along the Allegheny River, heading towards Oil CIty.

Heading uphill… in the rain… east of Towanda in the Endless Mountains region of PA.

Scenic overlook between Wysox and Wyalusing, PA.

Just past Lake Wallenpaupack. Last leg of the ride.. a 67-mile day.
Route 6 is Pennsylvania Bike Route Y and it’s a long, beautiful ride from Cleveland to New Jersey. It was a great trip, and quite an accomplishment.
