Our long-time friend Jay has come for an extended visit so of course we hopped right on our bikes.

Gotta see the sites…

And together we are goofballs.

It’s nice having time to catch up.

It took a team effort to get this together.

Ever notice how some people are better at spotting the art around you?
This “cop-shooting-cyclist” piece was near the top of the Manhattan Bridge… Who knew?!

You can’t bike on the High Line, but evidently, you’re not even supposed to walk your bike up there. Okay, whatever.

If you like to eat dessert first, Ice & Vice is nice.
Jay loved the Food Baby flavor.. concord grape, donut “soil,” rainbow sprinkles and raspberry coulis.

Ron always like to wrap up a good ride with dollar slice pizza… : p
We’ve had too many cop shooting in the news. How do you know it is a cop? I think it is a heritage sculpture, 1945, A Western Union courier off the deep end from delivering too many telegrams to mothers from the War Department.
.
How did you spot it? Good eye. How high up is it? How tall are the figures? 10 inches? And, why is the Manhatten Bridge held together with 3 wing nuts.

Dear Wing Nut –
Our friend Jay spotted the figures. How many times have we biked by it and never noticed? They are about 10 feet up, and maybe 4-5 inches tall. I’m so glad you pointed out that someone besides a police officer could be shooting at the cyclist….
Sincerely,
Your NYC friends
