Ron is ready to roll on a road bike he just picked up. Instead of new bikes, most people here simply buy used rental bikes.

Ron enjoys the outdoor seating with a view of the Valley Isle's valley. (Note: due to availability, Ron ended up with a Specialized bike, but he's wearing his Trek jersey in protest).

Ron had a traditional Hawaiian "plate lunch" with shoyu (sweet soy sauce) chicken, potato mac salad and lots of white rice.

I went next door to Maui Pasta Company and enjoyed the eggplant parm with homemade spaghetti.

Biking on Maui, you can choose flat roads or volcanic climbs. Just remember that the tradewinds are always along for the ride.
