Honoring a limited lifetime warranty

Posted by on January 8, 2016
Well, good news! Kryptonite just made my day! I filed a request on their website, asking them to replace my broken lock and reimburse me for the locksmith's fees. I got an email back several days later and they said Sorry! (I don't know about you, but it seems like businesses don't like to apologize these days, because it's somehow an admission of guilt or something..) And I just received a new New York Fahgettaboudit lock!

I just received a replacement New York Fahgettaboudit lock in the mail!

Plus I also got a debit card for the locksmith charges! And while it is technically a reimbursement, I cynically didn't think I'd see that money again, so it's sort of a bonus, or found money, if you will. So I made a donation to an local non-profit: Recycle-A-Bicycle. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Pass along the good vibes!
