This one's pretty big..

This one’s pretty big.. (Note puffball #1 in the back of Ron’s jersey.)

Biggest so far was also spotted along our roadside. (#3) This one is over six pounds! I also eyed two more, but they are on a neighbor's property.. hmmm. (Looks like our apples are ready for picking...)

Slicing open the small one, it's looks just like a ball of mozzarella..! FYI: the distinguishing feature of all puffballs is that they do not have an open cap with spore-bearing gills.

Coated with egg + cracker crumbs, now we’re frying ’em up in a pan with butter and olive oil…
