Six years ago, on this poorly fitted road bike, i went over the bars and damaged 4 discs in my neck, I was told the only way to avoid four-disc spinal surgery was to exercise daily for years. One problem. i can’t put any weight on my hands making biking impossible… So they thought..

So i dreamed up the “Big Bike”… ape hangers to keep the weight on my butt, disc brakes for easy stops, road tires and internal gears to make it easy to pedal.

I sold my company and hit the road

Across America up and down..

I even built a lightweight version to ride from Canada to New York City.

And Every Day..

I got a little stronger

But something was missing..

A Road Bike.. I missed the long rides on the open roads. Even though this bike was super light in the front and damn dangerous, i embarked on the final stage. To put weight on my hands and have a “normal” road bike again..

After Years of riding with the wind hitting my chest and an upright riding position i was starting to lower the bars..

thousands and thousands of miles.. And the bars are Lower still..

Want to thank all my friends.. Renee (Best Riding Partner Ever), Bruce, Horatiu, Derek and especially Jason from Sussex Bike And Sport for believing in my crazy bikes and helping make it all happen..

Very impressive. You have done so well. You made it. Keep up the good work, Yvonne

Yes, we are excited about your perseverance, ingenuity and success, but Yvonne overlooked the potential for the medical benefit to others similarly afflicted. Is the profession running with this therapy? Has a parts manufacturer picked up on it? Perhaps your research has some commercial value but look further to how you have, hopefully, furthered the science of theraputic medicine.

Well done! Hope you continue Ron, for benefit of others.
